Event Details

Join us for our annual 3 mile walkathon and wacky triathlon for children on April 24th in the parking lot at Grace Community Church in Noblesville, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  View Flier Here.  Registration begins at 10:45 AM, and we will begin our event at 11:00 AM.  The wacky triathlon portion includes several carnival type games and prizes for kids of all ages.  In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors.  If participants do not wish to raise money, the cost is $10 per person at the gate, or $30 per family, or you may make an individual donation in advance at http://foodrescue.net/about/donate.

To download sign up sheets for potential individual sponsorship of your commitment to walk, go to http://foodrescue.net/volunteers/schedule.  Sponsors may contribute a specific amount per mile or one total for completion of the three mile walk. Please collect the sponsorship dollars in advance and the donation will be collected as your entry fee the morning of the event.  Grand prize for the most sponsorship dollars raised will be a $100 gift certificate.

There will be food coupons for each participating family from many of the vendors who partner with us, as well as lunch provided by Little Caesars Pizza served at 12:45 PM.  Please let us know if you plan to attend by signing up for a ticket, so we will know how many to prepare for at our celebration.

Food Rescue

Our volunteers donate approximately 90 minutes of their time, one night each month, to rescue food that otherwise would have been discarded and give it to those in need.

Since November 2007, we have scheduled an estimated retail value of 3 million dollars in food rescues annually around the country, and over 1500 volunteers deliver the blessing to food pantries around the country.
